Job description
Key performance areas (Include but are not limited to): Design and deliver training programs on Microsoft Office packages, as well as digital investigations training courses. Train investigators on open-source intelligence and cyber-related investigations. Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and online resources. Work closely under the guidance of the Trainer on material development. Periodically update and maintain the SETA database as well as the SIU Learning Management System (LMS) with information on all learners trained. Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed. Collaborate with the IT department to ensure seamless integration of training programs with agency systems. Evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in digital investigations and Microsoft Office. Develop and maintain online training resources, including video tutorials and interactive guides. Provide training on data management and security best practices. Support the agency's digital transformation initiatives.
Required knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and their applications. Experience with digital investigation tools and techniques. Practical knowledge of open-source intelligence and cyber-related digital investigations training. Understanding of digital evidence handling and admissibility. Experience with adult learning (andragogic) principles and instructional design. Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and online training platforms.
Minimum requirements
Certificate in Cyber NQF 6/7 or related qualification. Experience in digital investigations and cyber-related training in an investigative environment. 3 years’ experience in digital investigations training. Strong understanding of adult learning (andragogic) principles and instructional design.
