Main Purpose: To manage the fleet management section within SIU.
Key Performance Areas (Include but are not limited to): Develop, implement, and maintain a SIU Fleet Management policy. Oversee the usage and management of pool vehicles. Oversee the development and implementation of a vehicle database. Oversee and establish sound maintenance of pool vehicles. Provide leadership and management to the section.
Technical Skills: Leadership, Communication, Interpersonal, Risk Management, Report Writing, Management, Planning and Organising, Relationship management and Time Management.
Required Knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): Sound knowledge of applicable legislations such as the National Road Traffic Act, Public Finance Management Act, and Treasury Regulations. Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Knowledge of government procurement processes. Knowledge of Project Management Principles. Knowledge of the public sector environment. Knowledge of financial principles. Advanced MS Office Suite Proficiency. Sound knowledge of risk identification, risk management and risk management systems. Attention to detail. Deadline driven. Results-oriented. Confidentiality. Reliable. Integrity. Independent. Self-starter. Innovative.
